Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Business Brain (“the service”), operated by BLACKLINE SOLUTIONS S.R.L., a company registered in Romania (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service and its status
Business Brain is a software product, currently under development, that helps founders build a grounded understanding of their business from evidence they choose to connect or upload. Features may change, be limited, or be unavailable while the product is being developed, and access may be offered on a limited or invitation basis.
2. Accounts and your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for maintaining the security of your sign-in, and for the activity that occurs under your account. You may only connect accounts, sources, and data that you own or are authorized to manage, and you are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party platform you connect.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service: no unlawful use, no attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems, no uploading of content you have no right to provide, and no use that infringes the rights of others.
4. Connected third-party services
You may connect third-party services to the service. We access only the information the permissions you grant allow, and only to provide the service to you. Your use of a third-party service remains subject to that provider’s own terms. You can disconnect a service at any time.
5. Your data and content
As between you and us, you retain ownership of the business data and content you connect or upload. We do not claim ownership of it.
6. Licence to process your data
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to access, store, and process the data you connect or upload solely to operate the service and to produce the analysis presented to you. This licence exists only for as long as needed to provide the service and ends when you delete the data or your account, subject to any retention required by law.
7. Confidentiality
We treat the business data you connect or upload as confidential and use it to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell it or share it for advertising.
8. Service availability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Because it is under development, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time, and we may modify or discontinue features.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. Business Brain supports founders’ understanding and does not replace professional, legal, financial, or business advice; decisions you make remain your own. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Termination and data deletion
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached or to protect the service. On termination, you may request deletion of your data as described in our Data Deletion instructions.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Romania have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections available to you.
